HOPEReach (Resources in Education for CHildren with Autism) HOPEReach is Project HOPE Foundation’s newest program, designed to provide quality Applied Behavioral Analytic (“ABA”) treatment to children diagnosed with autism or a related developmental disorders on a nonprofit basis. Why nonprofit? Costs are often prohibitive when families are considering ABA treatment for their child. At HOPEReach, our goal is to offer quality services while keeping operating costs low. For this reason, we rely heavily on grants, endowments, and volunteerism. What is Project HOPE Foundation? Project HOPE Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation that has been part of the Upstate community since 1997. The purpose of this organization is to provide information, support, and educational services to children on the autism spectrum and their families through an inclusion-based school and therapeutic support services to enhance learning potential. Project HOPE’s pilot program, Hope Academy, has been in existence since September 1997, providing an educational setting designed to include children with autism in classrooms with typical peers. At Hope Academy, children diagnosed with autism or other related disorders are mainstreamed into small classrooms with their typical peers, using “shadow” aids as necessary. Historically, the children with autism at Hope Academy have been engaged in ABA programs in their home setting. Now HOPEReach will offer ABA services to compliment the other services offered by Project HOPE Foundation. To learn more about Hope Academy, please visit www.hope-academy.info. HOPEReach currently serves clients in the upstate region of South Carolina. We are currently providing in-home and in-school treatment in Greenville, Spartanburg, Pickens, Anderson, and Cherokee counties.
